On a whole-interior project we mask and cover every area first so we can work faster than room by room, which means furniture and appliances stay protected for the duration. Where it helps, we finish one bedroom on day one so you have somewhere to sleep. We use zero- or low-VOC paints for walls and ceilings, so staying is more feasible on a walls-only project than one involving cabinetry.
